RATATOUILLE STILL DELICIOUS

Disney/Pixar animated comedy Ratatouille has held on to top spot in the UK box office charts for the third week running.

The movie saw off the challenge of new horror movie Saw IV - which had debuted at number one in the US - with £3.58 million in box office receipts.

Telling the tale of Remy - a rat with a taste for haute cuisine who sneaks his way into an exclusive Parisian restaurant - the film has proved scrumptious to UK movie fans since its release, with £17.25 million in takings since its release.

Matthew Vaughn's fantastical epic Stardust feel to fourth position, earning a healthy £2.33 million in its second week in cinemas on 454 sites nationwide.

David Cronenberg's underworld thriller Eastern Promises was the second highest new release in this week's box office rankings, earning £623,991 in 280 screens, while Michael Moore's new polemic SiCKO entering the charts at ten in its fourth week on release.

The remainder of the chart retained a familiar look with Rendition, The Heartbreak Kid, Resident Evil: Extinction, Run, Fatboy, Run and The Dark Is Rising all dropping two places.
