RASHAD NAMED NEW DIET COMPANY SPOKESPERSON

Former THE COSBY SHOW star PHYLICIA RASHAD is the latest celebrity to lend her body to U.S. diet firm Jenny Craig - in a bid to shed her unwanted weight.
The actress, who played Clair Huxtable in the beloved 80s sitcom, is the company's newest star spokesperson and will start her new role in January (09).
A spokesperson for the company says, "Jenny Craig confirms a new relationship with Phylicia Rashad. We look forward to sharing the details at a press conference in late January."
Rashad follows in the footsteps of previous slimmers Queen Latifah, actress Kirstie Alley and Valerie Bertinelli, who have all lost weight while promoting the Jenny Craig lifestyle.
