RAP BOSS KNIGHT ADMITS ASSAULTING GIRLFRIEND

Hip-hop mogul Marion 'Suge' Knight has pleaded guilty to beating his girlfriend in Las Vegas last year.

The Death Row Records founder was detained in August after punching Melissa Isaac while holding a knife, following a minor traffic accident.

Police found ecstasy and hydrocodone on the 43-year-old but two felony drug charges and one felony coercion charge relating to the incident have been dropped after Knight entered a plea bargain.

His admission comes a week after he was admitted to an Arizona hospital after sustaining facial injures in a fight at a hotel.

Knight was involved in a brawl at the W hotel in Scottsdale which began after "heated words in the VIP area", according to police.

The man who helped launched the careers of Tupac Shakur, Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg broke facial bones after being punched twice during in the incident and was treated in hospital.

At Las Vegas justice court on Tuesday he entered a guilty plea to the charge of misdemeanour domestic battery.

Justice of the peace Eric Goodman ordered Knight to pay a $340 (£235) fine and attend domestic violence counselling.

Death Row Records was sold for $24 million (£16.7 million) at auction in 2006 after Knight filed for bankruptcy.
