RAMONE CONVERTS TO BLUEGRASS

Punk rocker TOMMY RAMONE is turning his hand to bluegrass music after teaming up with singer/songwriter CLAUDIA TIENAN. The RAMONES star, 55, has formed the duo UNCLE MONK with Tienan and they will release their eponymous album in the US in May (07). The 14-track LP sees Tienan on bass and guitar, while Ramone plays guitar, dobro, banjo and mandolin. Uncle Monk will perform at the South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas in March (07).
