RAIN'S FORECAST FOR HOLLYWOOD

South Korean singer RAIN is jetting off to Hollywood to star in a blockbuster movie from the makers of THE MATRIX. Rain - real name Jeong Ji-hoon - has landed the leading role in action film Ninja Assassin, directed by James MCTeigue and produced by movie heavyweight Joel Silver and the Wachowski brothers, the siblings behind The Matrix franchise. And Rain - who is a massive star in his homeland - is hoping his big break will propel him to prominence in the international movie market. He says, "This is such a huge opportunity for me. It seems like a dream." Rain made his Hollywood debut in Speed Racer, also produced by the Wachowski brothers, but only in a supporting role. The film is scheduled to hit screens in May (08).
