RAIMI TAKING ON WORLD OF WARCRAFT

Director SAM RAIMI has been handed the challenge of bringing popular fantasy game WORLD OF WARCRAFT to the big screen for a new movie.
The Spider-Man filmmaker has signed on to take charge of the live-action movie adaptation along with The Dark Knight producer Charles Roven.
Raimi is excited at the prospect of tackling the sci-fi franchise, about the battle between the Horde and the Alliance, saying, "At its core, Warcraft is a fantastic, action-packed story."
Production on World of Warcraft is expected to begin once Raimi wraps work on the forthcoming Spider-Man 4 next year (10), reports Variety.com.
