RAHMAN RECORDS SIX-YEAR-OLD SON FOR MOVIE SOUNDTRACK
Oscar winner A. R. RAHMAN's six-year-old son is set for his turn in the spotlight - he has recorded a song for VINCE VAUGHN's new movie COUPLES RETREAT.
Child star-turned-moviemaker Peter Billingsley hired Slumdog Millionaire composer Rahman to score the romantic comedy - and the Indian musician decided to put his son Alim in front of the microphone for one of the film's pivotal songs.
Insiders claim that Alim has made it very clear to his parents that he wants to be a singer when he grows up and Rahman was happy to help his young son realise his dreams in the studio.
Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed, who broke the news of the Rahman collaboration to WENN, says, "Alim wants to be a playback singer when he grows up and his parents and India are very proud of his debut performance."
