RAFFERTY QUITS THE KOOKS - AGAIN
British rockers THE KOOKS have split from their bassist MAX RAFFERTY - just four months after the founding member originally walked out on the band due to illness. The Naive hitmakers previously spoke out about Rafferty's shock departure in October (07), with frontman Luke Pritchard insisting they could not have continued without him. Rafferty soon recovered from his sickness and rejoined the group - but The Kooks have now confirmed he has left the band for good. However, the band are refusing to let his departure hinder their plans for a forthcoming U.K. tour, having already appointed a temporary replacement. In a statement released on Wednesday (30Jan08), The Kooks add, "Dan Logan, bassist with local Brighton (England) band Cat The Dog will be filling in for the short term."
