RACING CHAMP HAMILTON IS HONOURED BY THE QUEEN
British motor racing champion LEWIS HAMILTON has been honoured with an MBE by QUEEN ELIZABETH II.
Hamilton collected the honour - which makes him a Member of the Order of the British Empire - at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday (10Mar09), four months after he became the youngest Formula One champion in history.
The 24-year-old - who is dating Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger - said after the ceremony, "I was so nervous to meet her. It was one of the most overwhelming experiences I've ever had. I'm kind of lost for words.
"I don't think you realise until you're standing in front of her how special it is."
