RACHEL: X FACTOR CONTESTANTS MADE ME FEEL LIKE OUTSIDER
X Factor reject Rachel Hylton has complained that other contestants on the ITV1 show mistreated her.
Rachel, 26, was voted off the show on Saturday night after failing to impress the judging panel in the sing-off, having been left in the bottom two by the public vote.
She reacted graciously to the setback at the time, saying: "It's fine. Someone has to go."
But the mother-of-five has now spoken out against her fellow singing hopefuls and revealed she clashed with another female contestant, though she did not name her.
"I could've used some support when I was at my lowest points in the show. They all support each other. They were all close to each other - but nobody had any time for me," she said on ITV1's This Morning.
"The bottom line is, I always got left out and I always got made to feel like an outsider.
The former drug addict did not live in the X Factor house as she was caring for her two youngest children at her council house - her three other children were taken into care.
"Sometimes I just went off on my own because I was made to feel left out. You know, I always tried to be gracious and say nice things about everybody.
"But what I wanted to say was, 'What have I done wrong? Why are you lot treating me like this?'"
The soulful singer admitted she had argued with another female competitor, and had to be calmed down by guest mentors Take That.
She told This Morning hosts Philip Schofield and Ruth Langsford she was upset that her rival "'let rip and didn't get in trouble".
While Rachel did not name the target of her ire, the remaining female contestants on the show are Diana Vickers, 17; Ruth Lorenzo, 25; and Alexandra Burke, 20.
