QUEEN STILL HAVE THEIR EYE ON IDOL STAR LAMBERT

QUEEN stars BRIAN MAY and ROGER TAYLOR are refusing to reveal who they want as their new frontman - but AMERICAN IDOL runner-up ADAM LAMBERT remains a favourite.
Fans have been keen for the classic rockers to name a successor to Paul Rodgers ever since the Free star quit the group earlier this year (09), and it's not exactly a secret the Queen stars are fond of Lambert after playing with him during the talent show's glitzy finale in May (09).
May previously said, "Roger and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him at some point. It's not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn't that easy. But I'd certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there."
And, in a recent BBC interview, Taylor confessed he was a fan of the pop star: "We did play in the finale of American Idol with the two final guys, one of whom is... Adam. He didn't actually win... but he is one of the most phenomenal singers, and I think at some point in the future we'd love to do something with him.
"He is phenomenally talented. He has one of the greatest voices I've ever heard."
