QUAIDS FACE EXTRADITION TO CALIFORNIA OVER FRAUD CHARGES

Actor RANDY QUAID and his wife EVI are facing extradition to California to face felony charges of fraud after failing to show up to court on for a second time on Monday (26Oct09).
The Quaids were expected in a Santa Barbara court, where they were facing three charges of allegedly burglarising and defrauding the owner of the luxury San Ysidro Ranch after checking out without paying $10,000 (£6,600) hotel bill last month (Sep09).
The pair was arrested in their home state of Texas, and later posted $20,000 (£13,300) bail. They were ordered to return to court on 19 October (09), but they rang the District Attorney's office to cancel the appearance just three days before.
The date of the hearing was then changed to Monday, but once again the couple failed to show - so the Santa Barbara District Attorney's office has decided to file extradition papers to ensure the couple returns to California for a new court hearing.
According to TMZ.com, the actor and his wife will be re-arrested in Texas and returned to California.
