QUAID RELEASED FROM CUSTODY AFTER POSTING BAIL

BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN star RANDY QUAID and his wife have been released from a Texas jail - just hours after they were arrested for allegedly failing to pay a hotel bill.
The actor and his partner Evi each posted $20,000 (£13,300) bail on Thursday (24Sep09) after Presidio County Sheriff Danny Dominguez drove the star to the bank to withdraw the money.
A judge had issued a warrant for the couple's arrest earlier in the day after hotel bosses at the luxury San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California, claimed the Quaids had left without settling a $10,000 (£6,660) bill.
The pair was taken into custody after an officer spotted them driving into Marfa, Texas, where they were staying at a local hotel.
The Quaids' felony warrant was for allegedly burglarising and defrauding the hotel owner.
