QUAID: 'MY TWINS WILL CHANGE THE WORLD'

Movie star DENNIS QUAID has high expectations for his young twins THOMAS and ZOE after they survived a drug overdose.
The tots were just 12 days old when a medical blunder at a Los Angeles hospital almost cost them their lives, but their proud dad feels sure the babies were kept alive for a reason.
He says, "I remember after that 40 hours and they pulled through and they were sleeping comfortably at the hospital. I just remember thinking that, you know, this did happen for a reason. These two little kids, 12 days old, they're gonna change the world in some way."
Quaid recently revisited Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where the incident took place, for an emotional taping of America's Oprah show, which will air on Tuesday (10Mar09).
The actor and his wife Kimberley were awarded $750,000 (GBP535,700) in damages in December (08), after staff at Cedars-Sinai were held responsible for administering a near-fatal amount of blood thinning drug Heparin to the babies, leaving them fighting for their lives.
California state regulators also fined hospital bosses.
