QUAID CONSIDERING SPACE FLIGHT

DENNIS QUAID is considering joining VICTORIA PRINCIPAL on Virgin Galactic's first trip into space - so he can fulfil a childhood dream. The movie star has been flying high ever since he played an astronaut in The Right Stuff; the film inspired him to become a qualified jet pilot. Currently without his own plane, Quaid admits he has a new dream. He explains, "The ultimate would be to fly into space. What's the price down to on the Virgin Atlantic space shuttle? Like, $200,000 or something like that? It's almost getting to be reasonable. "They should have at least two orbits with an in-flight meal and all that stuff." Richard Branson's first Virgin Galactic flight is expected to take off in 2009.
