PUNK GARDEN SCOOPS CHELSEA MEDAL
LATEST: Punk rocker IGGY POP is "honoured" a garden inspired by his hit song LUST FOR LIFE has scooped a silver medal at Britain's prestigious Chelsea Flower Show.
The singer lent his name to a garden created by charity The Children's Society, which came second in the Best Chic Garden category yesterday (22May07).
The humbled star says, "It's awesome the Lust for Life garden won a silver medal. It's great to know my music reaches out to so many and inspires.
"I'm honoured The Children's Society's garden is inspired by my music and whole-heartedly support the work they do - they rock."
The garden will be dismantled and rebuilt at one of the charity's projects for disadvantaged youths when the show closes.
