PROCLAIMERS SET FOR ICE CREAM SUNDAE

A host of bands have been announced for the Ben & Jerry's Sundae event taking place on Sunday July 29th.

The Ordinary Boys, the Proclaimers, the Holloways and Noisettes are all set to play sets at the chilled out event, which offers free ice cream and fairground attractions.

Preston and co released their third album, How to Get Everything You Ever Wanted in Ten East Steps, last year and have since toured most of the UK.

The Proclaimers have also been in the news recently after joining Peter Kay and Matt Lucas for a charity version of their track (I'm Gonna Be) 500 Miles.

Also playing at the Clapham Common show will be Emmy the Great and My Federation.

This year's Sundae is aiming to be carbon neutral and all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to a solar panel project in India.

As well as tonnes of free ice cream, the event has some rather quirky festival shenanigans, such as toe wrestling and cookie icing.

Tickets are on sale now and for those who can't make the Sunday, another line-up will be announced for the event on Saturday July 28th.
