PRIMAL SCREAM TO UNVEIL NEW MATERIAL AT V
Primal Scream, headliners of the JJB/Puma Arena at V Festival this weekend, have said they may debut new material during their set.
Speaking to the NME, former Stone Roses guitarist and Scream bassist Mani said that the band might put a number of new tracks in their set.
"We've got a couple of new ones up our sleeve for V," the veteran told the magazine's website.
"We played them at the weekend in Scandinavia, but this will be the UK debut. We're definitely going to play at least a couple of new [songs]."
But fans should not expect an explosion of brilliance from the new tracks, as Mani noted the band have not properly rehearsed them as yet.
"To be honest we all stare at each other while we're playing them - we haven't learned them that well yet," the bassist added.
V Festival is Primal Scream's biggest festival appearance of the year and will see the band build on what has been another successful year for the group.
The NME crowned them 'godlike geniuses' at this year's annual NME awards and their album Riot City Blues, released in 2005, was considered a return to form.
