POTTER FEVER SEES RECORD BOOK ORDERS
HARRY POTTER fever is once again striking the nation, with THE DEATHLY HALLOWS pre-ordered almost 1.6 million times ahead of its July 21st release date.
Tonight sees the European premiere of the latest movie THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX, with author JK ROWLING expected to make an appearance on the red carpet in London's Leicester Square.
With a double-whammy of Potter in July, fans have been going ecstatic for the new book, which is the last in the series of seven written by Rowling.
And demand for the novel, in which fans finally get the answers to the many questions raised in the stories and find out the fate of Harry and his friends, has surpassed that of the sixth novel.
According to online store Amazon, the book has now become its most pre-ordered product ever.
And the Harry Potter festivities are due to kick off tonight with DOCTOR WHO star DAVID TENNANT and actor PIERCE BROSNAN joining Rowling, DANIEL RADCLIFFE, IMELDA STAUNTON and ROBBIE COLTRANE on the red carpet.
