Victoria Beckham will be saying adios to her Spanish lifestyle as she heads across the Atlantic for a new life in Los Angeles.

Her husband, the footballer David Beckham, announced yesterday that he is to quit his current team Real Madrid and begin a new contract with Los Angeles Galaxy from August of this year.

It's a decision that Beckham made with his wife, as he said it only came after "discussing several options with my family".

No doubt Posh will be rubbing her hands with glee at the prospect of living in the glamorous echelons of Hollywood society.

The singer-turned-fashion designer recently made a trip to LA and was photographed looking at houses in exclusive areas of Orange County.

While Becks says that the move is "not about the money" and more about "making a difference" to US soccer, Victoria's goals are likely to be fashion-focussed.

Last year it was reported that she was being lined up to front a new fashion programme for US television.

And if she ever gets bored with shopping on Rodeo Drive and talking about fashion then her A-list friends, including Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, will no doubt cheer her up.
