POP PLANS TO PUSH ON WITH THE STOOGES

IGGY POP is considering reteaming with guitarist JAMES WILLIAMSON as THE STOOGES' potential replacement for late rocker RON ASHETON.
Asheton, 60, died from a heart attack on 6 January (09) - just months after reconciling with Iggy Pop for a Stooges comeback.
But the punk icon isn't going to let the tragedy wreck his reunion plans - he has been negotiating terms with Williamson, who played guitar on the band’s classic Raw Power album.
Pop tells Undercover.com.au, "I had a meeting in L.A. last week with James. It was the first time we had seen each other in 30 years. So we talked about doing something together."
