POP AND ROCK STARS HAVE GRAMMY HOPES

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, MILEY CYRUS and PETER GABRIEL are among the music artists up for Golden Globe Awards in January (09).
Springsteen was nominated in the Best Original Song category for The Wrestler from the film of the same name, while Gabriel received a nod for his Wall-E tune Down to Earth.
Cyrus and co-writer Jeffrey Steele were recognised for I Thought I Lost You from animated movie Bolt.
Meanwhile, Beyonce got a nod as a co-writer on Once in a Lifetime from Cadillac Records, in which she plays R+B great Etta James. And British jazz-pop star Jamie Cullum and Clint Eastwood were recognised as part of the ensemble behind the Gran Torino theme.
Eastwood was also nominated for his Changeling score.
