POMPEO SHOCKED BY FAME IN ITALY
GREY'S ANATOMY star ELLEN POMPEO was stunned to be recognised by fans of the hit TV show while holidaying in Italy.
The 37-year-old actress, who plays Meredith Grey in the drama series, was unaware the show was so popular outside America.
She tells People.com, "They're quite surprised to see me there. They just can't believe I'm in Italy. It's sort of out of context for them.
"They say 'Meredith! Meredith! It's you, Meredith! Oh my God, could it be Meredith?' "
