POLICE STOP BLACK FRANCIS GIG
An impromptu outdoor BLACK FRANCIS concert was stopped by police in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday (09Feb08) after officials became concerned about overcrowding. Pixies star Francis - also known as Frank Black - was playing to 1,000 fans at St. Stephen's Green when cops halted the gig and escorted the rocker offstage. Some onlookers thought the U.S. musician had been arrested, but police were moving him on to disperse the crowd, reports NME.com.
