POLICE STILL UNSURE HOW RHAMES' CARETAKER DIED
LATEST: Los Angeles Police are baffled as to what killed the caretaker who died at VING RHAMES' home after a dog attack last Friday (03Aug07).
Jacob Adams, 40, was pronounced dead in front of Rhames' Brentwood, California home after he was allegedly attacked by the Pulp Fiction star's pets.
But police spokesman Lieutenant Fred Corral says a further autopsy is required before officials can determine whether Adams died from a heart attack or from being mauled by dogs.
Corral adds the results of this autopsy could take eight to 10 weeks to materialise.
After the incident, animal control officers removed four dogs - three mastiffs and one bulldog - which police reported were "the size of lions".

Statement from Ving Rhames:
Monday August 13, 8:54 pm ET
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- I was out of the country when this
shocking and terrible tragedy occurred on my property. Jacob Adams was not just
a devoted employee -- he was also a dear friend. I want to offer my heartfelt
condolences to his family. I am relieved to know that the coroner's report
confirmed that my dogs were not the cause of his death -- and that any wounds
found on his body were superficial.
I would appreciate the media's privacy for me and my family during this
difficult time.
What gives you the right to keep on reporting WRONG info?
The dogs did NOT kill or maul this man get it.
This is NOT fair and you are killing many dogs every time your post this.
Giving excuses for people to mistreat big dogs and to ban the use of them as
pets or guard dogs.
