POLICE GIVE SEIZED BABYSHAMBLES GEAR TO CHARITY

Music equipment belonging to British rockers BABYSHAMBLES has been donated to charity after it was seized by police in a 2005 raid.
The band, fronted by controversial singer Pete Doherty, was playing a gig at The Duke of Clarence pub in Islington, north London when local residents alerted cops to excessive noise levels.
Police and local council officials halted the performance and seized the group's equipment, including two guitars, a bass guitar, three amps, a drum kit, a harmonica, a melodica and a speaker.
And four years later officials have decided to donate the gear to Islington council's EC1 Music Project - a youth scheme aimed at kids between the ages of eight and 19.
Former Babyshambles star Patrick Walden, who quit the band in 2005, has agreed to host a music workshop for the scheme in return for his beloved guitar.
