POIROT STAR TO PLAY MAXWELL
Poirot actor DAVID SUCHET has signed to play controversial media tycoon ROBERT MAXWELL in an upcoming TV movie.
The publishing baron drowned while yachting off Tenerife in the Canary Islands in 1991. It was later discovered he'd propped up his newspaper empire by embezzling millions of pounds from pension funds.
But British star Suchet insists the controversial figure was a fascinating man.
He says, "I would say Maxwell had a brilliant business head and I don't think there's any doubt that he was an extraordinary businessman, liked or disliked.
"I think - and I'm not alone here - that when Maxwell left our world, there was a certain sense of loss of a huge, colourful figure in our society."

Some people are just born to do what they do? Bazel Rathbone was born to be Sharlock
Holmes and Nigle Bruce as Dr Watson and David was born to be Poirot. And no one else
can be that character. Just keep doing what you do best because no body else can
do it as good as you and it,s a joy to watch. Good luck for thr future
