PLAIN WHITE T'S ROCKER LANDS GRAMMY DATE WITH DELILAH

The subject of PLAIN WHITE T'S hit HEY THERE DELILAH is so thrilled with her pop chart name check, she has agreed to accompany singer TOM HIGGENSON is to the Grammy Awards next month (Feb08). Higgenson was driven to write the 2007 chart anthem after falling for athlete Delilah DiCrescenzo when they met in Chicago, Illinois in 2003. And, after Hey There Delilah was nominated for two Grammys in December (07) - Song Of The Year and Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group - Higgenson built up his courage and finally asked DiCrescenzo out on a high-profile date. He says, "It's kind of weird, because we still don't really know each other. I don't think it'll be awkward, but it'll be interesting. "I've never been on a date that has been this high-profile." The 2008 Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on 10 February (08) in Los Angeles.

This was a no brainer. Songwriting is at a suffering point as a whole. He wrote one of the best love songs we have seen since "Something" by George Harrison, and yeah, babe, that was quoted to be by none other than Old Blue Eyes, Mr. Sinatra himself. So if Sinatra says George's was one of the best, then... Hey there, Delilah. Believe me, if you've been listening for the past 15 to 20 years, no one has ever articulated a love song in the manner that the Plain White T's has just recently done. Just a simple love song. No "baby momma drama". Love is pretty damn simple. Keep it simple. When it gets complicated you no longer have a love song to sing. I'm getting drunk, but this point... this point, my dear is very valid.
