PLACEBO 'PLANNING SUMMER ALBUM'
PLACEBO are planning to release their sixth studio album in June, it has been confirmed.
The indie band first appeared in 1994 and enjoyed success with songs such as Nancy Boy and Pure Morning.
Brian Molko's band are now set to return with their first new material since 2006's MEDS which will be the first album with new drummer Steve Forrest.
The band have recently signed with European entertainment group PIAS, with frontman Molko saying his outfit was "very lucky" to have so much record company interest after 12 years in the business.
"But we now feel we have the right partner for Europe in these ever-changing times to continue this crazy adventure and to scale even dizzier heights with our new record," he said.
PLACEBO recently revealed they will be playing the Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park festivals in Germany, which are scheduled to take place from June 5th to 7th.
