PIXIES REGROUP TO CELEBRATE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF DOOLITTLE ALBUM
Cult rockers the PIXIES are to regroup for the 20th anniversary of their acclaimed 1989 album DOOLITTLE.
The four-piece reformed in 2003 and split a year later, but now Black Francis, Kim Deal, Joey Santiago and David Lovering are planning 11 European dates in October (09).
They will perform the entire Doolittle album, which included the hits Monkey Gone To Heaven and Debaser.
Francis says, "We wanted to do something special for Doolittle’s 20th anniversary, and we thought this was a good opportunity to play all of the songs from that album - something we don’t normally do at a regular gig."
The Pixies regrouped this year (09) for a performance at the Isle of Wight festival in Britain earlier this month (Jun09).
