PITT HANDED ARCHITECTURE ACCOLADE

BRAD PITT has been granted a fellowship into the Design Futures Council.
The actor, who has had a love of building projects since childhood, is one of 13 individuals receiving the honour and was selected for his contributions to design.
Council co-chairman James P. Cramer says, "We are most inspired and we congratulate our new DFC Senior Fellows."
The Fight Club star launched an affordable housing project in New Orleans, Louisiana after the city was devastated by 2005's Hurricane Katrina when the levees broke and flood water wiped out many residential areas.
