PITT DISMISSES 'IDIOTIC' SUGGESTIONS OF JOLIE INFLUENCE ON HIS CHARITY WORK

BRAD PITT has hit out at claims he is only involved in charity work because he is dating ANGELINA JOLIE, insisting such suggestions are "idiotic". The Hollywood star, 32, is active in various humanitarian projects across the world, and earlier this year (07), donated $1 million (GBP500,000) together with girlfriend Jolie to three charities in the troubled African region of Chad and Darfur. But critics have put Pitt's philanthropy down to his relationship with his Mr and Mrs Smith co-star, who is also a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador. However, Pitt has dismissed the accusations as absurd. He tells Parade Magazine, "That's idiotic. I do it because I'm a member of the human race. We're all cells of one body. Let's focus on that."
