PINK FLOYD DENY PUB GIG RUMOURS

PINK FLOYD rockers ROGER WATERS and NICK MASON have denied they are snubbing high profile concert arenas to play a reunion gig in a village pub. Drummer Mason, 64, and 63-year-old singer/bass player Waters were rumoured to be reuniting on Saturday (23Feb08) for a one-off gig at The Winkfield pub in Berkshire, England, as a favour for a friend. However, the pair's management team insist they will not be playing at the intimate venue, as reported by the BBC. Fan websites had been alive with buzz about the event - but many have posted statements breaking the bad news. Brain-damage.co.uk says, "We've been contacted this afternoon by Roger's manager to confirm, as we expected upon reading it on the BBC, that there is absolutely no truth to the rumoured appearance this coming Saturday at The Winkfield pub of Roger Waters and Nick Mason. "The BBC have retracted their previous story about the event."
