PIAF BIOPIC TO OPEN 57TH BERLINALE
A new biopic about iconic French singer EDITH PIAF will open the Berlin Film Festival in Germany next month (FEB06).
Director OLIVIER DAHAN's LA VIE EN ROSE will premiere on 8 February (07) at the 57th Berlinale.
The film stars MARION COTILLARD as the beloved singer, who died in 1963 aged 47. The cast also includes GREEN CARD actor GERARD DEPARDIEU.
The film will also compete for the festival's coveted Golden Bear Best Film prize alongside THE GOOD GERMAN, THE GOOD SHEPHERD and director BILLE AUGUST's GOODBYE BAFANA.
