PHOENIX CONSIDERS RETIREMENT
WALK THE LINE star JOAQUIN PHOENIX seriously considers retiring from acting after every movie.
The actor admits he's racked with doubts about his talents and the career he's chosen for himself whenever he's in between films and it takes everything he's got not to go public with his plans to quit the business.
He explains, "It's ridiculous to say, `I retire,' but, I kind of toy with it when I take a break."
And his retirement thoughts have started creeping in to his head while he's in the make-up chair waiting to tackle film scenes: "I've found myself, at times, going, `I really want to get out of here. I don't want to wear these f**king clothes anymore. Stop touching my hair!'
"It just starts getting ridiculous. I honestly will start thinking, `I've got nothing. I have no desire to work again.'"
