PHOENIX AND RUFFALO MAKE FILM RESERVATION
JOAQUIN PHOENIX and MARK RUFFALO are set to play fathers on opposite sides of a hit-and-run accident in the film adaptation of JOHN BURNHAM SCHWARTZ's novel RESERVATION ROAD. The movie will be directed by HOTEL RWANDA film-maker TERRY GEORGE, who worked with Schwartz on the screenplay. Ruffalo will play a character that accidentally kills Phoenix's son in a car accident and flees. As the grieving father seeks revenge, the tragedy wears on both men in unexpected ways. The film, which also stars Oscar winner JENNIFER CONNELLY, will begin shooting in October (06) in Connecticut.
