PHISH STAR PLEADS GUILTY TO DRUGS CHARGES

Former PHISH star TREY ANASTASIO has pleaded guilty to a felony drug charge in Fort Edward, New York in an effort to avoid a prison sentence. Anastasio was charged with attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance after police found heroin, Xanax and Vicodin in his car during a routine traffic stop in December (06). In court yesterday (13Apr07), the rocker was told he'll be expected to make weekly court appearances for the next year and he was also sentenced to perform community service. Judge Kelly S. MCKeighan postponed sentencing for a year, threatening the rocker with a three-year prison sentence if he failed to follow the terms of the plea agreement.
