PHISH REUNITE AT JAMMY AWARDS

Disbanded rockers PHISH were briefly reunited at the Jammy Awards in New York on Wednesday night (07May08).
The four bandmates thrilled fans when they took the stage at the WaMuTheater at Madison Square Garden to accept a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Trey Anastasio, Page MCConnell, Mike Gordon and Jon Fishman had not shared a stage since they split in August 2004.
Gordon revealed he was sick, but refused to miss out on the chance to be "on stage with my four oldest and deepest brothers".
Anastasio brought the crowd at the seventh annual Jammys to its feet with an emotional speech.
He said, "For the last five years I've wanted to convey to some degree what this all meant to me and to the other guys. It was so much bigger than the four of us. It was even bigger than our friends and the scene.
"It was a cultural thing, and we were like servants, there to express what was going on around us. It's a wonderful feeling to do that."
But there was no performance and the former bandmates made no suggestion of a possible reunion.
Anastasio, however, performed earlier in the evening - with Beatles tribute band the Fab Faux. And MCConnell played keyboards behind many of the night's other acts.
The other highlight and the awards ceremony came when R+B star Sharon Jones joined Booker T. Jones for a rendition of blues standard Born Under a Bad Sign.
