PHILLIPS HOPES SHOCKING NEW BOOK EXPOSES INCEST ISSUE

Actress MACKENZIE PHILLIPS hopes her shocking new memoir, HIGH ON ARRIVAL, makes incest a talking point in America.
The troubled star reveals she had a decade-long sexual relationship with her father, the Mamas & the Papas star John Phillips, in the book, explaining that what started out as rape when she was a teenager became a perverse consensual act.
Speaking candidly to Oprah Winfrey on the media titan's talk show, which aired in America on Wednesday (23Sep09), Phillips said, "I know that I can't be the only one this has happened to; nobody is talking about this.
"Someone need to put a face on not only non-consensual incest but consensual incest because I know it exists. I know it's happening in families and I can't be the only person to have lived through this."
