PHILLIPS: 'FAME IS TOO STRESSFUL'
Veteran British actor LESLIE PHILLIPS loves all the attention he has been receiving in the wake of new movie VENUS, but finds his renewed popularity a bit stressful.
The 82-year-old is enjoying a career resurgence thanks to his role alongside PETER O'TOOLE, which earned him a BAFTA nomination.
He says, "It's very flattering to be viewed as something of a 'hot property' again at my age.
"But, you know, it has its downside - the phone hasn't stopped ringing, my fan mail has trebled, I'm being roped into doing all sorts of things to help publicise the film and I'm just about to head off to a film festival in Ireland.
"It's all a bit of a strain really. You know what us actors are like though - we're never happy!"
