PHILLIPS: 'ACTING A CONSTANT PERSONAL PRESSURE'
Veteran British actor LESLIE PHILLIPS is delighted to have survived the rigorous demands his career has put on his personal life, admitting he has not always been the best husband.
The 82-year-old VENUS star has found his acting career has often been to the detriment of his family life.
He says, "It exacted a huge price on my private life.
"You have to act selfishly. To get anywhere in acting you have to put everything into it. It's not nine to five and you can't just roll up and be a good husband every night.
"But happily, I have kept all my kids with me. And as I have got older, my life has settled."
