LATEST: TOM PETTY will bid farewell to life on the road in Arizona after adding the final dates to his last US concert tour as the leader of THE HEARTBREAKERS. The FREE FALLIN' hitmaker shocked fans earlier this year (06) when he announced his 2006 dates would be his last just before confirming the first and second legs of what was to be his farewell tour. Petty has now added the third and final leg of the US trek, confirming JOHN MAYER, PIXIES frontman FRANK BLACK and THE STROKES as his support acts, and he'll wrap it all up with Mayer on 4 October in Phoenix. The new dates will include a stop at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles with The Strokes on 26 September (06) and a two-night stint with Frank Black at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, California on 29 and 30 September (06).
