Peter Andre and Katie Price are both writing autobiographies discussing their marriage split.

Peter Andre and Katie Price are planning to write tell-all books about their split.

The glamour model - who is now dating cage fighter Alex Reid - is furious with the way her estranged spouse has gained popularity since their separation and has told pals she wants to release a "kinky" tome, detailing their marriage split and why she went off having sex with the singer.

A source said: "When she sets her mind to do something she'll do it properly. This book is her chance to put straight everything she has been slammed for and if that means criticising Pete then so be it.

"She feels like she is the victim in all of this and is sick of it."

Peter, 36, is said to be worried Katie will use her book to try and destroy his reputation and believes the only way he can hit back is through his own autobiography.

A friend told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Peter has an awful lot to tell people about their relationship but he has been very careful so far not to badmouth Katie. He doesn't want the kids to resent him when they're older.

"But he's sick of the lies Katie has been telling since they split and is bracing himself for even more in her book. He feels the only way to tell his side honestly is to release his own book.

"By the time it is released they will officially be divorced and the custody battle will be over - he has nothing to lose."

Both books will be released in December in time for the lucrative Christmas market.

The couple - who raise three children together, Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess Tiaamii - split in May after three-and-a-half years of marriage.
