PETE WENTZ'S EXPENSIVE SON GIFT

Pete Wentz is reportedly planning to splash out $8,000 on an antique train set for six-month-old son Bronx.

Pete Wentz has bought his six-month-old son an $8,000 train set.

The Fall Out Boy rocker searched for a long time before deciding to splash out on the vintage toy for Bronx Mowgli, his first child with wife Ashlee Simpson.

A source said: "Pete spent weeks finding the right set - it cost $8,000 plus $500 for shipping. It was made in the 1930s and comes complete with lights and fancy miniature stations."

However, Pete - who turned 30 on June 5 - has had to store the impressive train set away because the tot is still too young to play with it.

The source added to National Enquirer magazine: "The only problem is that there are choking hazards because the pieces are so small.

"For now, it will have to be boxed away in the attic."

Pete quickly adjusted to fatherhood and revealed he has formed such a close bond with Bronx he wants his son to join him on tour.

The musician is set to play the UK's Reading and Leeds music festivals this summer and is considering taking the youngster along to get his first taste of live music.

Pete recently said: "Would I take my baby to a festival? We'll see. I wouldn't mind him seeing the headliners Radiohead at all."
