PERSSON 'MISSES BAND LIFE'
CARDIGANS star Nina Persson has claimed she does not enjoy working as a solo artist.
The singer has enjoyed chart success in the Swedish indie pop band with hit songs such as Erase/Rewind and My Favourite Game.
However, she recorded a self-titled album under the alias A CAMP in 2001 which largely saw her performing alone.
"I realised touring the first A Camp that I hate being thought of as a solo artist," she said. "It's too lonely. I've grown up in a band, and I need people around me."
Persson has now recruited Niclas Fresk and her husband Nathan Larson for A CAMP'S next album COLONIA, which is scheduled for release in February.
"I'm glad Niclas and Nathan had the time to devote to all aspects of A Camp," she added.
SPARKLEHORSE frontman Mark Linkous and Swedish singer Nikolai Dunger have both collaborated on the forthcoming album.
Nina was a guest vocalist on the MANIC STREET PREACHER'S 2007 album SEND AWAY THE TIGERS.
