PERRY 'HEARTBROKEN' AT THOUGHT OF CANCELLING TOUR

AEROSMITH guitarist JOE PERRY is heartbroken at prospect of cancelling the band's current tour following frontman STEVEN TYLER's fall from the stage during a show in South Dakota on Wednesday (05Aug09).
Tyler, 61, is being treated for a broken shoulder and minor head and neck injuries at the local Rapid City Regional Hospital after taking a tumble when he mistimed a dance step.
The band postponed Friday's (07Aug09) concert in Winnipeg, Canada to allow the singer time to recover, but Perry fears Tyler's rehabilitation will take much longer - and force the cancellation of the remainder of their tour.
Perry says, "We still don't know if we're going to keep the tour up or what. It's breaking my heart."
Aerosmith have a further 18 dates scheduled on their ill-fated summer tour, with their final gig due to take place in Detroit, Michigan on 16 September (09).
Wednesday's freak accident is the latest in a string of health-based setbacks to have plagued the group's U.S. roadshow. Tyler cancelled a series of gigs after he suffered a leg injury, while bandmate Brad Whitford was forced to step down from touring duties after undergoing surgery for a burst blood vessel.
The group also pulled out of a planned tour in 2008 and dates earlier this year (09) to allow Perry to recover from knee surgery.
