PELLOW'S TV ROLE TAKES HIM BACK TO REHAB
WET WET WET frontman and former heroin addict MARTI PELLOW is returning to rehab - to star in a new sitcom about a faded rock star.
THE ABBEY is set in an addiction centre, loosely based on Britain's infamous Priory clinic, where Pellow spent time in the late 1990s.
The singer says, "I play a jaded rock singer and it's a p**stake on everything that goes on in The Priory.
"I can only now look back and maybe have a little pop at it. I don't take myself too seriously - that's why I agreed to do this."
The first episode of The Abbey will air on British channel ITV in February (07).
