PEET'S NEW YORK HOME BURGLED

Actress AMANDA PEET has lost $900 (£565)-worth of jewellery after a thief broke into her New York loft apartment.
The Whole Nine Yards star's assistant, Michelle Werner, stopped by Peet's home in downtown Manhattan on Wednesday morning (28Oct09) when she was confronted by a burglar who had broken in through the skylight.
The man, who was holding Peet's jewellery box when he was interrupted, allegedly snapped, "What's up, b**ch? I live here", before fleeing the property, reports the New York Post's gossip column Page Six.
Werner was unharmed in the incident and the crime was reported to the police. It is not known whether the burglar was caught.
A spokesperson for Peet was unavailable for comment as WENN went to press.
