PEAS END GAGA'S EUROPEAN REIGN AND CLAIM NINTH WEEK ON TOP IN THE U.S.
The BLACK EYED PEAS have ended LADY GAGA's reign over the European singles chart - BOOM BOOM POW has dethroned the pop star's POKER FACE as the continent's most popular track.
The hip-hop quartet climbs up from number two to take the top spot, swapping places with GaGa, who spent 14 weeks at number one.
The Pussycat Dolls' reworking of A.R. Rahman's Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny), from the Oscar-winning movie Slumdog Millionaire, sits at three.
In the European albums chart, the top three remain unchanged - Green Day leads the pack with 21st Century Breakdown, while Eminem's Relapse is at two and Eros Ramazzotti is in third place with Ali E Radici.
The only new entries in the top 10 come from Scottish singer Paolo Nutini, whose Sunny Side Up enters the chart at four, and Daniel Merriweather's Love & War makes its debut at 10.
Meanwhile, the Black Eyed Peas are still packing a punch at the top of the U.S. pop charts - Boom Boom Pow has just scored a ninth week at number one.
The track became the group's first U.S. chart-topper way back in April (09Apr09) and challenges from Jamie Foxx and Lady GaGa have failed to move it.
Pitbull's I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) is the latest challenger, rising to two on the new countdown and Keri Hilson's collaboration with Kanye West jumps up to three.
Hannah Montana co-star Mitchel Musso has scored the week's top debut, entering the Billboard Hot 100 at 70 with Hey.
