NBC's peacock shed another couple of feathers Wednesday as My Own WorstEnemy and Lipstick Jungle were removed from the network'sschedule because of poor ratings. Other shows that were introduced thisseason by the network's entertainment co-chairman, Ben Silverman, including Knight Rider and Kath and Kim , have also failed to attractviewers -- as have almost all the other scripted series on NBC's schedule,none of which have managed even to crack Nielsen's list of top 20 televisionseries. The network that once dominated primetime television has ranked lastin overall numbers for the past two season and appears certain to retainthat position this season, as well. NBC's collapse may be an extremeexample, but studies of the first seven weeks of the current season indicatethat all major networks have experienced significant audience losses.
